The Edge of Reality

What is it about our perception, of our point in time and space, that makes us believe that we are the only one? What is our moment that is passing in front of our eyes and within our mind, the only point from which to refer anything?

Why is it that so many are resistant to the idea that the past and the future exist simultaneously? For the future, their ‘now’ is the most important now, and we are but a memory of the past. To us, our past is the past; we are the now and the future hasn’t happened yet. How ridiculous.

When we look at space and time, surely we have to understand we are not that important when it comes to the identification of the total and complete reality of time and space. Why are we the ones ‘chosen’ in this very moment to exist when all else either did happen, or has not happened yet? Can you see my point?

It is a farce to believe in oneself as being the single point of relativity to which all things relate. And so we must look always at time and space as a collective movement of thought and memory with multiple ‘consciousnesses’ existing as multiple individual thoughts – like you and I – within the entire spectrum of reality on multiple dimensions and in multiple space-time locations.

In a reality that, to our perception, takes so long to move anywhere significant, our point in time – our moment – is really nothing more than one of a seemingly infinite number of them. And so space and time co-exist together in all places. The future and the past co-exist with the now. It is all a point of relativity.

Someone sitting in the future who is able to travel back to the past within the corridor of their mind will come back to us as their past, and revisit it as something that ‘was’. To us, they come from an inexplicable future, one that we cannot understand if – and that is ‘if’ – we look at time as being linear and based on one single point of our conscious thought of reckoning of what reality ‘is’ or ‘is not’.

And so I challenge you, I ask you, I implore you … remove your sense of independence from space and time from this ‘moment’ of ‘you’. Remove your sense of identification of the importance of every moment away from your moment of you.

Take a look – a bigger look – at the power of reality as a construct of thought and memory. Make sure at all times you are not constrained into the personal identification of self by seeing this moment in time as being all that exists at the centre point of everything. Because that is a farce.

Only the awareness of the ‘all’ within the many can explain the co-existent realities within this program that move amongst us, within us and around us every day on multiple dimensions, in multiple space and time locations, on multiple planets and in multiple places.

… And given this is all an illusion, then what is Real exists beyond even the perception of this single point of reality within this single frame of existence called Earth.

There is so much more to see, and so much more to say and so much more to hear. But without this simple identification of fact, one can never remove themselves from their absolute self as being the totality of reality.

From the awareness of ‘what you are’ the point of self is the lowest note, and we should embrace ‘what we are’ by being open on our lowest note of consciousness so we may understand the ‘illusion of reality’ firstly.

Only then, we may travel to ‘reality’.

We are all divisions of the One. So much thought is separate. When the thought is separate it creates more separation. So what is the difference between divisional energy and the separation of thought?

Thought, firstly, it is an image. It is an image designed to equal an expectation or a version of truth that one aspires to and one needs. But what is divisional energy? And why is what we really are a division of energy?

All light is One. There is no separation in light. Pure light. Light becomes divisional through segments of creation and through barriers of reality, and through layers of thoughts and memories. But light in its essence never divides, and yet we say that it is divisional only because it shares itself amongst various aspects of perception.

When one stands at the top of a staircase one has a vantage point. A vision. An ability to see further. A greater sense of perspective. If one is to step down to the middle point of that staircase and keep communicating with oneself on top of the staircase, when one is at the middle of the staircase one has a lesser view, but is still the same ‘You’.

If we descend down to the bottom of the staircase we have what we could call the consciousness, a more limited vision of reality but still in communication and fully connected to the part of our self that is both midway up the staircase and at the very top. We are divisional, not separate.

We are experiencing multiple aspects of sound. Multiple realities. We are sharing our energy through multiple streams of evolution and multiple factors of awareness. But that does not make a separate. It makes us One through a divisional array of thought and memory. The essence of light remains intact, but it is divisional as it is shared down the staircase.

The unity of the Light of All is when the lowest point, the consciousness, the human mind and the essence that lives within each one is in full contact with the highest level of awareness and remembering of what one really is. That is when for light awareness of what you really are flows down into the consciousness of one’s life. One does not need to create an energy of image or expectation. One does not need to convince anyone of anything. One does not need to pursue goals to eventually become at the top of the staircase, Because one is already there. It is simply the consciousness that perceives reality, and what is real, differently.

So what is it to maintain the One within oneself? It is to know. Not to think or believe, but to know and remember one is still standing on top of the staircase. One has descended down into the middle and lower streams of reality – the middle and lower tiers to perception, the steps steps on The staircase. One inhabits multiple realms at once. One light shining through different spectrums of sound.

The essence is always One.

So we are all divisions of the One of what we really are, and what is real never becomes less real when moving through illusion. It maintains its centre point at all times, and when we move through our lives we must maintain our centre point at all times. The way we maintain that centre point is to be aware that we have never left, and we are experiencing and evaluation of separation in order for something greater to occur. That does not make us greater or lesser. It makes us a division of the One.

So much fracturing and fragmentation of thought and imagery is applied to the energy of what one really is. Grandiose images, false prophets, analogies of greatness all come from a fractured perspective of thought, but not from the energy of what one is. When one is resounding to what one is, one does not need to create imagery, idols and essences separate from themselves to justify their life purpose as dictated by the self.

No one is more important than another. No one is greater than another. No one is lesser than another. If your imagery has a purpose that seeks others to follow then your imagery is flawed by your inability to recognise the value of all being One.

So the movement of sound through our lives is one that follows the pathway light. When we look for purpose we must understand that for purpose to be true, Purpose can only come from the essence of what one is. If one is in communication quietly, deeply within the energy of what they are and remembers that they are both standing on top of the stairs, and midway, and inhabiting the lowest note of the human self then one knows the answers two questions are already known inside.

And so the journey becomes not a journey at all, it becomes an experience of awareness, and that experience of awareness is the journey home for so many. For the One has arrived within the power point of creation, within reality, within this illusion.

But the registration of sound that it is is now accessible through the Gateway of your mind. So you are a division of the One of what you are. And within the silence – within that single point recognition – comes a new future, a new pathway, a new dimension of awareness that allows you to remember you are more than who you believe you are. You are more than who you know you have ever been whilst you only register life through the consciousness.

The parity of it all is that ‘what you are’ is always available, because it is in fact all you are and all you have ever been, and all that you were before you even came here.

I leave you with what I have most of and that is truly love. Bless you.

Awareness and acceptance.

So often these are seen as one in the same, but they are in fact very different. When we are faced with the reality to which we are presented – our life, and indeed all life everywhere – we are also faced with what we perceive is a choice:

“What do we accept and what do we not accept?”

As one becomes more aware of who and what they are, the gravity of the truth of this reality begins to set in. One starts to question why their life is the way it is, and why the world is the way it is. Often, fear ensues because of the perceived lack of choices and the feelings that in some circumstances there appears to be no choices at all. That is where acceptance starts to form. But it is not acceptance based upon a decision one has made of their own volition; it is an acceptance based upon fear. Sometimes it is then the fear of having to accept that creates even more fear. We are then caught up in a cycle of fear itself with the fear of having to accept, when we should have the free will and right to choose what we want to choose.

This life, this world is so full of what tells you what you must accept. Reality itself, as an energy of cyclic creative thought and memory, attempts to enforce acceptance of its rules and regulations every day. But when one becomes more aware, resistance begins.

And that is why we must look at the distinction between acceptance and awareness. It is an important clause of awareness to understand – truly understand. There are things we can change, things we cannot change. And because we are inhabiting a physical body, responding and having to live within a physical reality – at least for now – all of our senses and ideologies, needs and desires and choices for free will, grind against the reality that we are viewing without awareness.

So what is awareness? Awareness cannot come from you, alone. Awareness is a deeper understanding and uncovering of the true nature of reality. Beyond the prison walls of thought and memory. Beyond what life itself and those around you in your life tell you who and what you should be. What you really are is completely aware. It is Real. We are the experience of thought and memory through the illusion of separation. Why we are here, is an entirely different story and one I can tell at another time.

However, the facts still remain. The only way to be aware is to open your mind and your heart to a dual consciousness. Being aware that everything we see and feel and touch is not everything there is. There is a greater part of us operating within us. To be in touch with that part of us is the only way to become truly aware. When we become aware, we look at everything differently. Everything. Without exception. Our lives, our relationships, our jobs, our outer reality in its entirety. Our awareness allows us to see how and why we do what we do. Our awareness allows us to see how and why others around us do what they do. Sometimes they are not compatible, and our awareness allows us to see that too.

And that is where awareness and acceptance meet. They meet here because when we are responding to the awareness within, and not reacting to the outer experience we call life, we are able to navigate and choose what we will do and why we do it. Awareness reveals to us a way to look ahead to a future that is filled with purpose, but not always preference. And when one walks the pathway of the journey of life with awareness, some things you will choose to accept and some things you will choose not to accept.

To someone observing your thoughts, feelings and actions, your acceptance of some things will not necessarily make sense to them. And it may never whilst they are operating purely on a thought-and-memory singular consciousness of separation itself. And so acceptance becomes a matter of awareness, where all things are seen from a greater perspective.

Imagine walking a pathway and have reached a fork in the road. Your travelling companion gives you every good reason why turning ‘right’ is the way to go. It makes sense. The sign even clearly gives all the indications. Everything so far seems to suggest ‘right’ is the correct way. And yet, you have already risen above the intersection of your life, and seen everything that you are experiencing from a different point of view. A higher vision, with a far more reaching view of the road ahead. You know the road to the left is the only way to get you where you need to go. And so you look at the forked intersection, and you decide you are going left. It matters not what your companion does. You are responsible for your thoughts, actions and feelings. That is why sometimes, when the greater journey mergers through your awareness with the journey of your life, at times your decisions will seem unacceptable to others. All that matters is they are acceptable to you. There is that acceptance again, but this time because of your awareness. You make decisions without fear, without judgement, without reaction and without needing another’s approval. Their reaction does not affect you, it only affects them.

And so when we look at awareness and acceptance, we must look at awareness as the director of your thoughts and actions. When you are aware, and hope no longer becomes a point of contention between your heart and mind in the struggle of whether or not to hold on, or let it go and just accept is no longer relevant.

You become aware. You remember you are more than who you believe you are. You realise you always have been. You realise what you are has a purpose here. How you live your life may need to change entirely, or focus in a different direction. And why did you become aware? Because you let go of the separation value of your self. You connected to what you are. You opened a Gateway in your mind to what is Real beyond illusion. You embraced awareness because you embraced love in its truest form.

And that, is all that matters.

As we start to become aware of the illusion of this reality, people often ask me – “What is my purpose?” and “Why am I here?”

And my response is the same – The awareness of your purpose is equal to your awareness of what you are.

The more you remember “what” you are, the more you remember what your purpose is. The more you discover “what” you are, the more you discover what it needs you to do, and why you are here.

Without awareness, one is travelling a purposeless no-journey. If you want to start your journey with purpose, you need to start to remember. Remembering is the most natural thing in the world to do – after all, it is remembering all that you really are beneath the illusion of consciousness.

If one does not remember, then there is only the journey of life, and a journey of life alone has no meaning, and is therefore a purposeless no-journey.

And so purpose and awareness go hand-in-hand. You cannot fulfil your purpose without being aware of the “what” you really are.

Then the question is asked, “Then how do I remember, how to I become aware?” And the answer is simple – you have to let go of your image of ‘you’. You have to quieten your mind, slow your brain, leave memory and expectations behind. Go deeper beneath the busyness of your thoughts and your life.

Life is full of images, stresses and pressures. Expectations of oneself, expectations of family and even your work or friends. Expectations of life itself.

And so the only way to become aware is to be quite within. To give your inner voice a chance to speak. To give your real feelings a chance to be felt with clarity – simply, an intent to know “what” you are.

How you do that is up to you. Guided meditation, such as those available at The Journey Home are the most effective way to let go of the outer, and reveal the state of inner awareness. However, it doesn’t matter how or where you do it, it just matters that you do.

Perhaps you can be quite within by sitting up in bed at night and finding peaceful reflection in the quiet of your own space, or perhaps you prefer to sit in a park. Perhaps you sit at the ocean side, or just take time out on the couch. You don’t need to sit cross-legged on a mat, you don’t need crystals or incense or gongs or mantras. You don’t need outer tools or images, you just need you.

I offer guided meditation because it is the most effective way to channel one’s intent into a deeply calm and inner space, and guide the outer mind into its most natural inner state.

What matters is that you want to be in touch with “what” you are, to be in touch with your inner being, so that it may speak to you, show you what you need to see. So you can connect with the inner light that you are and begin to gain clarity and awareness .. and the purpose will follow.

My wife Diane appeared to me yesterday in response to a discussion I had with someone asking about how to find the way they needed to go on their journey. Diane told me this analogy, which I would like to share with you .. “Inner energy is like a message written on the bottom of a beautiful pond. But you cannot read the message until the waters on top are very, very still and calm.”

… That is why we must find a quiet place within ourselves to reflect, to remember, to become aware. Then, and only then, will purpose prevail.”

I would like to ask you a question – do any of your memories or experiences in your life that keep re-occurring feel like they do not belong to you? Do you have recurring patterns of experiences? People? Jobs? Relationships? Do you sit down sometimes and question … why does this keep happening? What is going on?

We are all familiar with the concept of karma. Of course we are. Karma is a very well understood topic by people who dig a little bit deeper into what life is about. It is a part of the human experience. We have all lived before, and we will all live again. That is the nature of time. We all have an energy of a soul and spirit from before and during this life, and we will continue on after we depart this life. We have lived past lives that explore different lifestyles, ideas, concepts, different emotional stages and levels of awareness of what life is.

And so karma is in essence the opposites of the human equation. How we deal with fear, power, grief. How we deal with so many things such as happiness, giving, love and rejection – so many things the human condition and experience encompasses. We move from one experience to another, learning, observing and exploring the journey called life.

There is a magnetic return energy with karma – of course there is. Everything goes round and returns in smaller and then ever widening circles of experience. It is called the magnetic law. The rotation of compliance. The Journey Home book speaks about this and other associated topics in great depth.

For this blog, let us just focus on karma. What if not all of the memories you hold – and therefore not all the feelings and experiences you believe you have had – belong to you? What if some of the memories you hold were never supposed to be yours? Could this explain why things that re-occur in your life make you scratch your head and ask, “Why is this happening to me again?” and “What possible value is there in this again for me to learn from this?”

Often, in my experience and in the experience of many people I help, there does not seem to be a point to some of the memories uncovered.

Let’s cross over to a different topic for a moment. Let’s talk about time. Now, you know how much I love to talk about time so let’s just spend a moment on it. You have heard me mention before that time does not actually exist, and yet we all live our life like it does. That makes it an even more fascinating subject! So let us take the reality of what ‘time’ actually is – the passage from one memory and moment to the next. You have heard me say before that all time is also simultaneous – the past and the future, our past lives and future lives, are all happening right now, as you read this, on different frequencies of this experience and in different locations in this space. Time does not exist, but all memory does.

The movement of our consciousness ‘through time’ gives the perception that time is passing. But at the end of it all, time itself does not exist. It is a loop of memory. But was it really meant to be this way?

The thing about time is that the past creates the future, and the future creates the past. But if you take a look around you in your life, I would ask you one question – does the world seem right? Does it seem in balance? Does it seem everything is where it should be? I would expect everyone would have to say “No”. For anyone who said yes, I would say you are not looking hard enough.

The world is not in balance. It is in fact grossly out of balance .. in the wrong direction. So many things in this experience called life are geared towards power, manipulation and unfairness. When we look at that, we have to then take a look at time. If time is a series of memories that all exist at the same time, and the past affects the future .. and the future affects the past .. then they are mutually inter-dependent. Which simply means they need each other.

As conscious human beings, we do not readily and consciously have a memory of the future available to us. So what happens when the future (one that is the result of an out-of-balance reality) actively connects to the past? Because the past actively connects to the future. But what does this have to do with memory, and what it does it have to do with karma?

Let us look at it this way – the program of life, the energy of life, the cycle of life, the sameness of life .. is determined to stay the same. The powerful are in power; the powerless are without power. That is the rule here. So therefore, the future has the advantage point of visibility across the history of time including our now. What if it actively imprinted memories deep inside our psyche? What if it imprinted memories and experiences, even lifetimes, into our past and reflected those memories back to us again – like a mirror – into our now so we believe things that never actually happened, did happen.

What if our responses based upon uncertainty, unsureness, remorse and fear are dis-empowering us so we cannot see the true beauty and true depth, strength and clarity of who and what we are? What if some of the things we hold onto every day, in every part of our life … were simply not true? We would need to re-evaluate. We sure would.

And so, we look at karma as a very real aspect of an energy of experience recurring from one life to the next, from one experience to the next throughout the history of mankind, in order to gain awareness for the sole as part of a sole group as we all travel along a spiritual journey that is called humanity. But then we need to also have to look at a system of life we live in now, that is cyclic and does not want people to change.

Do you want a better future? I’ll bet you do. Do you want the best future you can have? Absolutely you do.

That being the case, I would ask you to take a look. Be open. Take a look at your life, at the psychic pattern of things that happen in your life. Take a look at the things you experience, the members you have, the feelings you have got, and ask yourself … do they make sense?

If the answer is ‘maybe not’, then perhaps reality itself is trying to keep you in an old program. Perhaps the future is trying to maintain a powerbase that is out of balance.

That being so, it makes it so important to look deeply within ourselves. To look deep within the real memories we carry of what we really are. Only our inner self, our real memories, our real self can determine what is real to us.

I have had so many people uncover memories and feelings, entire lifetimes through intuitive readings I have done, psychic readings and timeline readings … where their memories do not match the reality of what is happening, and what is happening cannot be traced back to karmic memory.

There is something fundamentally wrong with the memory structure of life. And so I ask the simple question – does everything you experience in life make sense? Do the cyclic and repetitive patterns that perhaps because you grief, strain and confusion keep you in the same space unecessarily? Spinning around, trying to figure it out? Maybe, just maybe, there is nothing to figure out at all.

Maybe a new future is available when we take a moment to understand we are more than the memory we are created to be.

We have inside of us something very special that will lead us to a new future, that will bypass obsolete and false memory .. and we have something inside of us that will show us the way.

The Journey Home is built upon the energy of awareness and remembering. Knowing what we are, deep inside, so the depth of awareness can come to the surface and change who we are so much for the better. It can show as the Gateway to our mind to leave the sameness and the old life behind. Our inner being can make every aspect of who and what we are, real. It can help us bypass the time loop to have a new future, to travel somewhere else where there is an exit from the sameness of our life.

I hope the question of karma, memory and cyclic patterns perhaps raises a new question inside of you.
