Q. Can you tell me more about the Galactic Command Units?

JasonOver the many years we have been spoken to, we were introduced to ‘Frequency Dimensional Units’. You can read more about these in The Journey Home. These are the parts of our coding system that both restore our individual energy structures into viable energy / memory fields that are no longer compromised. They allow us to vibrate to other levels of this reality as part of the ability to allow more light to enter into both our own energy structures as well as the energy of the space (as we all inhabit more than just this level of reality). They also allow for greater communication with our Real being, opening up light channels within. This is all a part of the larger implementation of light to wake up so many. FDUs are a reconnection to one’s True energy signature within creation.

The Galactic Command is the collective of higher beings that have re-entered this program from the ‘Real’ and comprise of higher light and other energy beings. The Greater Plan is run by the Galactic Command, and Galactic Command Units (The Journey Home) are the encoded memories of light of our Real and True energy identity beyond illusion, from what is Real. Anyone who resonates to beyond this program – therefore here to assist with the shift of light happening on a larger and personal scale – has their energy structure activated by Galactic Command Units.

Simply, Galactic Command Units are the connection point and memory of home from beyond here. They are the impulses of light to help you wake up and remember what you are, and from where you came.

I would like to ask you a question – do any of your memories or experiences in your life that keep re-occurring feel like they do not belong to you? Do you have recurring patterns of experiences? People? Jobs? Relationships? Do you sit down sometimes and question … why does this keep happening? What is going on?

We are all familiar with the concept of karma. Of course we are. Karma is a very well understood topic by people who dig a little bit deeper into what life is about. It is a part of the human experience. We have all lived before, and we will all live again. That is the nature of time. We all have an energy of a soul and spirit from before and during this life, and we will continue on after we depart this life. We have lived past lives that explore different lifestyles, ideas, concepts, different emotional stages and levels of awareness of what life is.

And so karma is in essence the opposites of the human equation. How we deal with fear, power, grief. How we deal with so many things such as happiness, giving, love and rejection – so many things the human condition and experience encompasses. We move from one experience to another, learning, observing and exploring the journey called life.

There is a magnetic return energy with karma – of course there is. Everything goes round and returns in smaller and then ever widening circles of experience. It is called the magnetic law. The rotation of compliance. The Journey Home book speaks about this and other associated topics in great depth.

For this blog, let us just focus on karma. What if not all of the memories you hold – and therefore not all the feelings and experiences you believe you have had – belong to you? What if some of the memories you hold were never supposed to be yours? Could this explain why things that re-occur in your life make you scratch your head and ask, “Why is this happening to me again?” and “What possible value is there in this again for me to learn from this?”

Often, in my experience and in the experience of many people I help, there does not seem to be a point to some of the memories uncovered.

Let’s cross over to a different topic for a moment. Let’s talk about time. Now, you know how much I love to talk about time so let’s just spend a moment on it. You have heard me mention before that time does not actually exist, and yet we all live our life like it does. That makes it an even more fascinating subject! So let us take the reality of what ‘time’ actually is – the passage from one memory and moment to the next. You have heard me say before that all time is also simultaneous – the past and the future, our past lives and future lives, are all happening right now, as you read this, on different frequencies of this experience and in different locations in this space. Time does not exist, but all memory does.

The movement of our consciousness ‘through time’ gives the perception that time is passing. But at the end of it all, time itself does not exist. It is a loop of memory. But was it really meant to be this way?

The thing about time is that the past creates the future, and the future creates the past. But if you take a look around you in your life, I would ask you one question – does the world seem right? Does it seem in balance? Does it seem everything is where it should be? I would expect everyone would have to say “No”. For anyone who said yes, I would say you are not looking hard enough.

The world is not in balance. It is in fact grossly out of balance .. in the wrong direction. So many things in this experience called life are geared towards power, manipulation and unfairness. When we look at that, we have to then take a look at time. If time is a series of memories that all exist at the same time, and the past affects the future .. and the future affects the past .. then they are mutually inter-dependent. Which simply means they need each other.

As conscious human beings, we do not readily and consciously have a memory of the future available to us. So what happens when the future (one that is the result of an out-of-balance reality) actively connects to the past? Because the past actively connects to the future. But what does this have to do with memory, and what it does it have to do with karma?

Let us look at it this way – the program of life, the energy of life, the cycle of life, the sameness of life .. is determined to stay the same. The powerful are in power; the powerless are without power. That is the rule here. So therefore, the future has the advantage point of visibility across the history of time including our now. What if it actively imprinted memories deep inside our psyche? What if it imprinted memories and experiences, even lifetimes, into our past and reflected those memories back to us again – like a mirror – into our now so we believe things that never actually happened, did happen.

What if our responses based upon uncertainty, unsureness, remorse and fear are dis-empowering us so we cannot see the true beauty and true depth, strength and clarity of who and what we are? What if some of the things we hold onto every day, in every part of our life … were simply not true? We would need to re-evaluate. We sure would.

And so, we look at karma as a very real aspect of an energy of experience recurring from one life to the next, from one experience to the next throughout the history of mankind, in order to gain awareness for the sole as part of a sole group as we all travel along a spiritual journey that is called humanity. But then we need to also have to look at a system of life we live in now, that is cyclic and does not want people to change.

Do you want a better future? I’ll bet you do. Do you want the best future you can have? Absolutely you do.

That being the case, I would ask you to take a look. Be open. Take a look at your life, at the psychic pattern of things that happen in your life. Take a look at the things you experience, the members you have, the feelings you have got, and ask yourself … do they make sense?

If the answer is ‘maybe not’, then perhaps reality itself is trying to keep you in an old program. Perhaps the future is trying to maintain a powerbase that is out of balance.

That being so, it makes it so important to look deeply within ourselves. To look deep within the real memories we carry of what we really are. Only our inner self, our real memories, our real self can determine what is real to us.

I have had so many people uncover memories and feelings, entire lifetimes through intuitive readings I have done, psychic readings and timeline readings … where their memories do not match the reality of what is happening, and what is happening cannot be traced back to karmic memory.

There is something fundamentally wrong with the memory structure of life. And so I ask the simple question – does everything you experience in life make sense? Do the cyclic and repetitive patterns that perhaps because you grief, strain and confusion keep you in the same space unecessarily? Spinning around, trying to figure it out? Maybe, just maybe, there is nothing to figure out at all.

Maybe a new future is available when we take a moment to understand we are more than the memory we are created to be.

We have inside of us something very special that will lead us to a new future, that will bypass obsolete and false memory .. and we have something inside of us that will show us the way.

The Journey Home is built upon the energy of awareness and remembering. Knowing what we are, deep inside, so the depth of awareness can come to the surface and change who we are so much for the better. It can show as the Gateway to our mind to leave the sameness and the old life behind. Our inner being can make every aspect of who and what we are, real. It can help us bypass the time loop to have a new future, to travel somewhere else where there is an exit from the sameness of our life.

I hope the question of karma, memory and cyclic patterns perhaps raises a new question inside of you.

I want to talk about where you belong. So many people wonder about where they have come from, and where they are going. Sometimes life itself makes us question where we belong, and is there something else? Is there more? Why are so many always searched for something? Why has almost no-one ever found the answer.

The nature of our reality is questionable. There is no doubt about that. Wherever we look there are inconsistencies. There are things that promise fulfillment and guidance and yet never deliver.

So where do we go? What do we do to answer the burning questions that drive us, and yet meet an obstacle or a void in the outside world, in this place that’s called life.

To find answers, we have to go within. That is the only place where we will find the answers we seek. And so the question of where do we belong is an important one. We are all experiencing this thing called ‘life’. We have all come from somewhere, and we are all going somewhere. But where is that? Or when? Or what?

Most people have an idea of their soul. We all have something inside us; an energy system that fills us with something more than we can perhaps relate to our everyday life. The words “soul mate” and the “evolution” of our soul – these phrases and words raise questions, but what do they actually mean?

When we come back to the question of “Where do we belong?”, what does the soul mean in relation to this? Do we all come from the same place? No. And why should we? The human existence is not a singular existence that starts and stops with birth and death. We all have come from somewhere. We all have a soul that moves into our body and out again. Perhaps our soul – or more accurately, our energy – is the greatest clue that our life is not all there is, that we do indeed belong .. somewhere else.

This is why at The Journey Home, ‘home’ is not a single place or time. Home is a state of remembering. It is a cornerstone of the light of awareness that takes us into a place inside to our deepest memories. We have we come from? Where do we belong? How do we open up more of the memories we have inside so we can in fact understand where we are going.

The soul is often misunderstood. Many believe we will have a soul, and whilst we certainly do, souls also operate in soul groups. Soul groups are not singular. A soul can have multiple experiences through a multiple of people all at the same time. People can be sharing the same life, like husband and wife, or they can be a life that is one of a multitude of people in different time frames of the past or future, in the now, in different countries – all a part of the soul group – all having different experiences with which the soul combines those experiences to learn and to understand.

It is really about remembering. Because we also have to understand we all are One. We all came from the same point to begin with, and different places along the journeys we have taken. Therefore, descending into matter or personality vehicles like our conscious human ‘self’ is really a step away from where we came from. A step away from ‘what’ we really are.

The soul is an experience within the human life-cycle, repeated many many times in what is called ‘evolution’, and to a karmic range of experiences to understand the separation value of life itself to experience multiple memories through multiple vehicles.

But what if beyond the soul there is a spirit? The spirit is commonly misunderstood as being the soul, because perhaps the soul also belongs to a greater energy. So what if our human being has within it an energy that belongs to something beyond itself that is greater, that is not singular. Even what we are belongs to something else as well .. and so it goes.

Perhaps the journey of the soul is only a small counterpart of a much bigger picture.

That is the cornerstone of understanding, as to why we should ask the question as to where do we belong. We will have memories of our lives, and those who enquire deeper beyond the surface of the life and reality we live often have memories that don’t align to this life. They often have memories that go to other lives. Sometimes to other places, and often those other places don’t align to a life on earth. Confusion reigns for some. Exaggeration reigns for others.

But we have to be aware – where we belong may not be where we think we belong. Whilst we only believe in our humanity, and we are not open to other ranges of energy and experiences, life and light beyond our life, we may never understand or remember the Real nature of who and what we are.

The most unnatural aspect of life is that it ends, in that it started out of nothing.

So, for life to truly represent the real and true nature of all things, it is important to understand life came from somewhere and will go back to somewhere. But the journey in between those two points is a fascinating one. Full of experiences, thoughts and dimensions. Life and beyond life. We certainly do not want to be stuck in a never ending loop of the sameness of belief systems, imagery, memory and illusion.

So as for the question, “Where do we belong?”… do not lock yourself into an image of heaven or a version of life or an afterlife that suits just the personality. What people call heaven is really a dimensional energy of transition from this life to the next, or to somewhere else.

There is so much more! The experience of memory is about going within, quieting the mind, tapping into the real memories we hold inside. This can take us beyond where we ever imagined, and to places more wonderful and even more familiar than the life we currently live.

The questions we often ask about the point of our life, our purpose and what it all means are so important. When we start to us the question, “Where do we belong?” is when we start the journey home to seek answers to those very questions we have inside.

We all want to have someone looking after us, making sure we stay on track with what our destiny requires from us. Churches and Temples are full of such people, all wanting to stand out in the crowd so their hopes, dreams and prayers are heard above everyone else.

Gods and Deities have been fought over for thousands of years. Yet in all of this time, we have never been given anything from these Gods to finally bring the arguments to an end. Somehow, they have managed to send us representatives from all of the Gods throughout history, and because of this, the arguments and wars are still going on. Will the real God please stand up and put a stop to all of our nonsense, so we can finally get on with our lives and love one another like we are told that the Gods want us to do. Failing that, we’re just left to our own devices, and we’ll have to make the best of what we believe. In hindsight, that means nothing will change.

However, some believe that there is an alternative. It is called the New Age movement, composed of those who believe they have been chosen for a special mission. They don’t talk to God very much, but instead talk to Angels and Masters. Somehow these Angels and Masters seem to have the capacity to speak on behalf of the one true God to these chosen ones.

So what’s the mission? The message that comes from these Angels and Masters is a simple one. We must all trust and believe that we’re all Gods too. Wow! So many gods. People actually believe this, because they then decide they can create their own reality, their own destiny – because that’s what gods do .. they create. There’s great appeal in this alternative way of believing. You don’t have to worship Gods – all you have to do is worship yourself. Easy!

Then comes the next – you become a healer. Drawing upon your divine essence you place your hands upon the sick. Those wracked with a need to never be a God. Those who only want to be followers.

However, be sure you do not cough or sneeze upon these unfortunates whilst doing your divine healing. You may need to be healed by another got first, before commencing your healing on the sick.

Then there are others who allow the Masters and Angels to speak through them. Sharing words of wisdom and enlightenment. Helping the followers to live a life of a follower. To keep returning for more enlightenment, week after week, year after year. Remembering that all has its price, and surely a God needs to live a life that is deserving of a God.

Then there are those who neither believe or disbelieve. Instead they are open to what lives within them. The small voice that tries so hard to be heard amongst the sound of life itself. This small voice is the greatest spiritual adviser of all. For it belongs to you. It has always been with you, all of your life. It is your real true self. The spirit that rises above all belief. It guides you along on the pathway of life, so you can bypass all that is not true, all that is false and has been placed before you to prevent you from going home.

And to this small voice I would like to say .. speak up, be heard. It is time to awaken, for so many need to remember this is only a dream. It is time to go home.

by Jason Swaffield – an inspired communication about time, loss and the power of love.

Time. It is such a inexorable thing. It stretches out forever, it seems. And yet, when you want it to last it takes everything away from you. You want it to just stop, to cease moving, so the sadness can be staved away and the love can remain. But this is not what time does. It relentlessly, mindlessly carries forth.
You can’t be angry with it, it serves no purpose but to damage yourself. Time does reflect to us, though, what matters. I might say, ‘that is something to be grateful for’, but when the reflection is far too real and far too raw, it seems that gratitude is the farthest thing from my heart. Perhaps begrudging respect. Humility. The saying, “It is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all” is so absolutely true. I would prefer a philosophy with a kinder range of options, though.
But nevertheless, that is not the nature of time. And when one is in singularity, with a one-way appreciation of events, that inexorable feeling just keeps going, forcing you to have to adapt and cope, or the tide of events will sweep you under.
Because that is what love is like within time, something that carries you along with it and takes you to places you never thought you could reach, or never imagined existed. And when it comes, when ‘time’ leaves you feeling stranded on the shoreline and carries love away with it, out of your grasp, it looks back at you with an eternal glance, daring you to never forget, to never let go, to always remember. Because time is not a friend. Not at all.
But if we can learn something from this perpetrator of unwanted events and passing moments, it is that it did not bring love into our lives, it merely swept us up in what we already knew was inside us already. It just eroded the facade that we all carry. And that facade is the image that love is not the most important thing in our lives. In our existence. In a moment, it reminded us that time is not a powerful thing to be resented and feared, it is just a memory carrier.
The most important thing is that it cannot carry any memory away, or erode any feeling, or leave you standing anywhere you don’t want to stand. It is powerless. For all its bravado, it is as meaningless as the illusion it tries to convince us of.
But rest assured, when you know this and look time directly in the face, right between the eyes, it will back down. Because you are the master of your love. Both for yourself, and the love you hold for others. You control your love, and what you do with it. Anything else is allowing time to own what is rightfully yours.
So don’t despair when you feel the loss of love. Don’t feel sad beyond repair when you feel broken and battered, ripped and torn apart. Don’t give in. Just know that it was your ability to love that got you there in the first place. That is what allowed you to ride the river, and not drop to the bottom like a dead, unfeeling weight.
It was your remembering of the love you hold within you that carried you all the way to right now. And your love now that embraces and carries with you the feelings you have, right now. Without love, you cannot be who you are. Without you, love has no one to carry it.
So carry love with you with every step. Carry as much as you can, wherever you can. Don’t ever stop, because if you do, time wins. Because time, remember, tries to convince you that it is in control of what begins and what ends.
It is up to us to show it differently, until we draw our last breath and return to the greater love that allowed us to understand personal love in the first place.

No doubt this article has attracted your attention because you either want to find your purpose, are fed up with your current purpose or are wondering whether there is a need for a purpose at all.

Many people believe their role in life is their purpose. They never look further afield from being a Mother, Father, Son, Daughter, Husband, Wife, or even best friend. Then there’s the roles we take on in our careers. The list goes on and on. But is having a role the answer to the question ‘is there a purpose to my life?’ Or is there something more?

Some people are born with a sense of purpose, even from a very young age. They are quite adamant that their life will follow a pathway that is entirely related to their purpose. They are steadfast in their beliefs, and many can be found in their adult years living the very life they spoke about when they were young. These people are often thought of as ‘lucky’, because they know where they’re going in their life – all because they have a purpose.

In listening to these ‘lucky’ people, they often refer to the driving desire within them to find the time, energy and ability to fulfil their purpose.  They are often motivated by their passion to succeed, and have an amazing ability to overcome any obstacle that stands between them and their purpose. Simply, their purpose has given them meaning to their lives.

However, whilst some people believe they are born with a purpose, and from the very get-go they know what they want to do and how they’re going to do it, there are many others who discover their purpose later on in their lives. I am one of these people.

At 18 years of age I had this strong inner feeling, which I must admit was quite unsettling at the time, that my life wasn’t going to go quite the way I thought. It wasn’t until I was 30 that I discovered exactly what that meant. My purpose had arrived! Some would call it a ‘near-death experience’, but I would rather refer to it as an ‘awakening’. From that moment on, my life changed. What was familiar, even routine, became unfulfilling and mundane. I found it hard to relate to every-day life, and my need to understand what had happened to me became over-powering.

I didn’t go looking for it, it came looking for me! My journey into unraveling the purpose to, not only my life, but life itself, had begun. It wasn’t very comfortable or even comforting at the start, but my experience ‘kick-started’ me into action. Many of my beliefs fell away, as the struggle of being the person my family and friends once knew me to be was overshadowed by who I was becoming. I now had a purpose, and that purpose was all-consuming.

That was many, many years ago. Since then my purpose has taken me on a journey of amazing experiences and discovery. I won’t say it was easy, because it wasn’t. Having a purpose is really hard work, as well as bringing about changes you aren’t always prepared for. But in saying that, my purpose has been the greatest gift, and in great humility I am so thankful. It has brought me here .. to this point … sharing through ‘The Journey Home’ what I have learnt and what I have discovered.

So is there a purpose to your life? If you have asked the question, and the only answer you have is that feeling of emptiness in the pit of your stomach, then you’re looking for something more than you’re getting out of life. You need a purpose, and you need it soon! It’s amazing how that inner part of ourselves competes with our everyday patter. When you feel restless, even lonely, have an empty feeling inside you that nothing seems to fill, then your inner self is telling you that there’s something you’re missing. So don’t listen to the patter of your consciousness that tells you, “You’re crazy, everything is okay, go find a book or watch TV”. It’s time to take stock of what your needs are. It’s time to find purpose to your life.

Now at this point, I need to explain that having a purpose doesn’t mean you have to dedicate your whole life to a cause. For some it does, but for others their purpose is entirely different. Having a purpose is a personal thing.

I have often been asked “can you have more than one purpose?” The answer is yes, absolutely! There are so many people in the world today who are actively pursuing more than one purpose. Your purpose may be all-consuming and be a part of your life until you die. Or you may have a purpose that is more short-term. For example, you may decide your purpose involves learning how to fly a small plane, or traveling the world, or even climbing a mountain.

When you feel you have achieved your purpose, you may decide to continue to fly planes, do more traveling, or even climb more mountains.  There again, you may call it quits and say “there, I’ve done it!” That driving need to do something may disappear, and with it goes your purpose.

However, I have met many people who do not feel there is a need for a purpose at all. They have chosen to travel the pathway of ‘experience’ instead. They do not have something to strive for, to be there for, or to find fulfillment in. Instead they are ‘the experiencers’. Their journey through life relies upon the unknown and unexpected. They do not have any expectations of themselves, nor do they rely upon the opinions or expectations of others. So the question remains – “Is there a purpose to my life?” Only you can answer that.

You’ve probably heard those two words many times. They sound like common-sense words; but let’s face it, who has time in this busy world to try and work out what they mean? Yes, balance and harmony sounds wonderful, but maybe you’re thinking it might take too much time out of your day, to even give it a try.

But what if these two words could end up being something you just can’t do without. They could become your support system through all that self-doubt and uncertainty you’re left with when things just don’t go the way you wanted.

They could help you stay calm when everything around you is in chaos. Instead of seeing the negative in a situation, you might even see the funny side of it. You may even begin to feel that passion and enthusiasm again for the things you once loved to do. Balance and Harmony could even become your new best buddies.

If you’re reading this from a negative and stressed self, you could probably think this all sounds a bit far-fetched. But that’s what happens when the negative side of someone hears about a solution, it can become too much to think about, and for that reason I need to get to the point, quickly.

How can you get Balance and Harmony to work for you in your life? Easy … first of all, you need to understand how it all works… Balance and Harmony ‘happens’ when you are physically, emotionally and mentally in alignment.

It all begins with your thought. What you think is so important Your thought affects your emotions, with your emotions then affecting your physical body. When you get your thinking in the right place, then the energy within your emotions is lessened, leading to a healthier physical body.

Now, that makes sense, doesn’t it? So getting your thinking in the right place is where you should start. All that memory getting in the way of being the person you really want to be. You need to let go of that past, it really isn’t that good for you. It’s the future you should be looking towards. What about a new future? A different future than the one you’re heading towards.

To have a different future, then you have to be different. You need to change how you think, so you don’t have a future that’s the same as your past. You need to feel good about yourself, and your physical body will thank you!

In my mind travel ‘creating the Future you want’ program I have designed a simple exercise that helps achieve Balance and Harmony.

A sample of this exercise is available on my ‘Creating the Future you want‘ program. So take time out and get some Balance and Harmony into your life. Try it and see. You’ll be so glad you did.

How many times have you sat in a quiet place, perhaps next to a beautiful water feature or some other representation of the natural environment. A location that forms a symbol of serenity, peace and what is a natural state. Symbolic of what is untouched and untainted. Left it its own pattern of survival compared to the busy-ness and needs of humanity who have changed the landscape of time.

A person’s needs and desires are often so temporary, and what is natural is so often overlooked, forgotten or even interfered with so it can meet the temporary desires of too few.

Let’s think about your life. Is it a product of sameness in the fabric of time? A symbolic gesture here and there in attempting to produce a natural theme so the quiet and serenity could create a sense of well-being?

Is it possible to create such as feeling? Well – yes – but only as a temporary solution as opposed to a natural way to be.

So what is the answer? Is there one? Or are we only investing time wondering without every really knowing.

Is a natural environment only a small part of a solution? How long can someone sit next to an environment that offers all they need to experience – that inner flow of peace and relaxation?

There are so many influences that would take this inner sense of quite and one-ness away. The weather turns cold and wet. Other people suddenly appear, creating their own sounds. Daylight disappears and night takes its place. Or the most obvious .. you just get tired of being there!

There is always a time factor involved. Whoever you are – whatever your needs are – it is all governed by what happens around you, but not by what happens within you.

Outer influences are so powerful. They can change your needs in a moment. From feeling at peace, to feeling alone. From feeling safe to feeling unsure and afraid. From feeling the one-ness to feeling disconnected. We are all affected by what happens around us.

So what is the solution? Is there one? There is, and it is the ‘Gateway’ to the Inner Self.

Life is what it is. You think take on a role and you either like your role or you don’t. You don’t get to change it very often – and if you do, it won’t be without a struggle. It’s certainly not easy swapping to a different role, because everyone’s been allocated one, and it’s not looked at in a favourable light if you go changing what’s been designated to you.

The ‘Self’ – not be confused with the Inner Self – has been filled with conditioning, programming and back-up systems to help keep the need for the role to stay intact. If that fails, then friends, family or colleagues are used to shift the focus back to your original role.

Whatever you do, there is always a battle around you for supremacy over your decisions, your needs and what makes you happy.

This battle will never stop whilst you want change. It’s an inward battle to retain some sense of peace and harmony amongst the outer influences that so often besiege you – or an inner recognition of acceptance of who you are and your place in the world.

When you stop struggling against the world, and the people around you, you slip quietly back to you role, and the battle ceases.

Now for those who cannot – and will not – accept this outcome, I need to talk about the Inner Self.

Quietly and majestically, it sits deep within your mind hidden from view until it is called into action.

So what is the Inner Self?

It is the part of you that can be seen as what is natural and pure. Is it the Spirit? No. Is it the Soul? No.

What it is, is the most natural, even forgotten, part of who you are. It is beyond desires, dreams and beyond beliefs. It is not affected by outer experiences or the influence of others. Instead, it is an inner place that needs to be explored and experienced.

When you discover the Inner Self, only then can you experience the peace and one-ness that you have been looking for.

Consider this – there isn’t one thought you have that isn’t attached to a memory.  Everything you have ever done, everything you have learnt, everything you believe in, all comes from memory.  It would be fair to say that our memory has created who we believe we are.

It is estimated that by the time you reach 50 years of age, your subconscious will hold 70 trillion pieces of information within it.  That’s a lot of memory.  So the question is – which memory or memories do we rely upon to make important and ongoing decisions on how to live our lives?  Why is it that some memories hold great influence and power over our decision making, whilst others do not?

The answer seems to lie in our childhood.  Those early years that were supposed to give us love, security and direction.  Well, for some, that might be true, but for others, those childhood years held something totally different.  These are known as the formative years, when children are very impressionable, with their self-concept being created by the tender age of 5 years.

Our childhood is the foundation upon which our memories are built upon.  It needs to be strong to support us through our growing years, and then carry us into our adult life.  But if this foundation holds nothing but negativity, then we may have difficulty building a healthy relationship, both with ourselves, and the world around us.

Now, the point is … would you want a child making all the decisions in your life?   Of course you don’t.  Children don’t have the capacity to see beyond themselves.  They are all rather self-absorbed.  They often live in fantasy, rather than understand what terrible consequences could occur if bad choices are made. They are mostly concerned with what’s in it for them, rather than see the big picture of what’s possible.   That’s the way children are.  Their brain capacity is very limited, and so they aren’t expected to take charge of life-changing situations, but instead they follow what others have created for them.

With this being said, I want you to follow what I’m saying.  If your memories are tainted by negative beliefs that were formed during your childhood, then you need to reassess how those beliefs are affecting your life. If you believe your memories are creating problems in your life, then it’s time for you to take charge, and quickly!  Don’t let the child part of you delay your success any longer.

Have you ever given a thought that your poor self-image has been steering your life in circles for years?  Perhaps you’re someone who is often complaining about the powerful emotional baggage you’re carrying around, but you just don’t know what to do with it.  My suggestion is: just drop it, then walk away.  But whatever you do, don’t look back.

If you find yourself doubting you could ever do this, then you have to ask yourself whether you’re too attached to being a victim of your past.  Victims just love memory.  It feeds their every thought and action.  The last thing a victim ever wants is to let all that memory go.  Victims are addicted to the attention they receive.  Whether that attention is good or bad, it doesn’t matter, because it’s still attention.

So if you’re a victim, you might not like the solution I’m about to talk about.  For everyone else – I would now like to talk about a method I use, that successfully helps people bypass the memories that are negatively impacting their lives. This  method involves creating new memories.  These new memories then become their new point of reference, in order to create and maintain the life they want and deserve.

This method is very simple in itself to execute.  Firstly, you need to review your life as honestly as you can – highlighting what you feel is missing in your life, or what needs to be changed.  Remembering, that whilst you keep drawing on the same memories, this will lead to the same thoughts and actions, subsequently achieving the same results.  There is a saying that accurately sums this up .. “If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got”.  Isn’t that the truth?

So after you’ve taken a good honest look at what you would like to change in your life, and be realistic in your expectations when you do this, then you need to take yourself to a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed.

This is where you need to visualize your life being different.  You can’t be half-hearted or treat it with amusement, because if you do, then it won’t work.  You will have to use the power of your thought to create this new memory,

but this time your memory will be in your ‘future’, not your past.

Close your eyes when you do this, so you can block out what’s happening around you.  Concentrate on imagining what your life will be like in a future time.  You may choose 3 months time or even 6 months or 1 year.  Whatever you do, be concise, and don’t change it once you made up your mind.  Success will equal a number of things:

  • A realistic expectation
  • A sensible timeframe
  • Your ability to really believe that it is happening in your future
  • The strength of your belief in your ability to create new memories

So memories don’t have to rely upon the past.  They can also be within your future.  The magnetic alignment to the power of your thought will enable you to realize a different life, away from the past of your old life.

To understand more, I have created a Program titled ‘Creating the Future you want’ that is available on the Mind Travel section of The Journey Home website. This program will take you on a personal journey, mind travelling forward in time to view and experience your ‘most likely future’. You will then travel back in time to heal your past, become empowered to make change, then experience a guided Mind Travel exercise to create and experience your ‘new future’.

Welcome to the 21st century…  where time is regarded as precious.  There’s just not enough of it to do everything you need to do.  Everything runs at such a fast pace, you find yourself prioritizing, just to keep up.

Your calendar is probably full for the month, and you’re already half-way to filling up next month’s as well.  Then there’s the clashing of invites from different friends or relatives, which leads to you spending so much time, you don’t have, on worrying which one you have to let down.

This technological age we live in has expanded our world.  It has offered us the ability to experience life in a totally different way than ever before.  It encourages us to learn, communicate and expand our understanding of the world and the people in it.  But it all takes time.

So if you can’t relax, and are wondering why, there are a couple of reasons you need to consider …

Firstly, you may have put yourself into a ‘self-expectation loop’, whereby you just can’t pull yourself away from being busy, as well as being there for everyone else.  Another way to put it would be to say “you don’t want to miss out on what’s going on”, so all of your time is directed towards what you expect from yourself, and what you believe other people want from you.

Secondly, it’s about how much energy you put into your busy life, and the stress that comes with it that prevents you from feeling relaxed.  This will also affect your sleep pattern, with many people not being able to get into a deep sleep, to rejuvenate and re-charge their body.  Instead, waking up as tired as they were the night before.  Too many people suffer from the ‘I can’t relax syndrome’ and it’s affecting their lives.  It’s no fun dragging yourself out of bed every morning, feeling absolutely exhausted, especially when that calendar is so full of what you have to do that day.

That’s when the thoughts arrive of “what I wouldn’t give to lie on a beach today, with nothing to do.  Just sit back, relax, have a drink. Feel the warm sun on me.  Mmm .. that would be so good!  I wish I didn’t have to go to work today”.   Now, what’s wrong with this picture?  Human behavior seems to have a way about it to want something when it’s not possible (when you need to meet your obligations and go to work).  But when it is possible, they don’t want it (weekend or other free time), they simply have too much to do.

If you’ve ever had those thoughts first thing in the morning, then it’s your body’s way of saying “I’ve had enough.  I want to relax.  Just stop, why don’t you! Take me where I can just switch off from this busy life”.  That’s when you need to listen, and take the next opportunity to do just that.  Don’t wait.  Do it as soon as you can.  Give all those thoughts a rest.

There are different types of relaxation.  Sport, hobbies, reading, having coffee with friends, dining out, watching TV, surfing the net.   But remember, your brain is still taking in information, sorting it out, evaluating it and storing it in the subconscious for it to be retrieved at a later time.  Whilst this is called relaxation, there’s an even better way to relax.

It’s when you give yourself the gift of time that does not involve others. This type of relaxation enables you to get back in touch with what you feel, rather than what you think.  Your brain is not overloaded with information.  Your breathing slows and, guess what?  You begin to relax.  It’s that easy.  It’s simply taking time-out for you, instead of being there for everyone else.

When you relax you also change your brain pattern away from the Beta state, which is associated with concentration and alertness.  In the Beta state neurons fire in rapid succession, helping you achieve peak performance. However, when you really begin to relax – you then enter the Alpha state, where your brain activity slows from the rapid patterns of Beta into the more gentle rhythm of Alpha.  This is when you feel truly relaxed, and your creativity and visualization is at its best.  You can then view your life with a greater sense of insight, enabling you to make decisions that were so difficult to do when you were feeling so tired and stressed.
