The Real Illusion takes the mind beyond the Illusion of Reality.

One of the most prominent discussions I have as I speak to many people about the illusion of this reality, and the pathway home, is “The New Program”. The new program is simply the inserted and corrected course of events that will lead you back to where you came, from beyond the illusion of this reality. The mission is over. The only thing left to do is to remember what you are… to wake up… to share the light of awareness with every breath you take until you can take breath no more.

Recently I was considering yet another response to this question about “free will”. Some see it as a paradox. It is not. Whilst it may be indeed the history of what we always did to get home, our choices have never been more important.

As I considered my response yet again to this question, I was given an analogy to share…

The Cave

Imagine you entered into a cave system. You entered to rescue people who were trapped deep within the caverns. However, the entrance collapsed behind you. The way in was unstable and you were trapped inside. That was a long time ago, and ever since you have been looking for the way out. Looking for the exit.

Deep within the caverns you can see so many corridors, cracks in the walls and openings. Some lead deep into the underground, some seem to lead up, some lead nowhere at all. Dead ends. Dark spaces. There are so many possibilities that might lead you home, but none seem to deliver the answers you are looking for.

After so very long, some people are still looking for a way out. Some people are resigned they will never find one. Others have made a home in the caverns and seem to have forgotten about their life before entering the caves.

One day, you hear a voice. The voice is coming from a place in the cavern you did not recognise before. It is coming from a place you did not realise there was even a possibility of exit. The voice calls your name. It asks you to listen.

“Come this way,” the voice says. “I am here to help. I know the way. Follow my sound. Follow my voice. Forget all of the other possibilities. They will not lead anywhere, except back to the caverns. The caverns are full of dead ends and endless loops. Broken paths, traps and hazards.”

You question the voice. It seems so very familiar. It has been so long you have been searching through the possibilities of tunnels and openings. You have never encountered this before.

“This is the only way home,” the voice says. “I cannot promise you it will be the easiest path, but it is the only way out. You see, I am you. I am speaking to you from your future, from when you found your way out. I am speaking to you from outside of the caverns, in the daylight. What you are hearing is the echo of my voice travelling back through the tunnels. I have come back to give you a shortcut so you can get home without having to journey through the maze of possibilities that surrounds you and lay before you.”

You listen intently. The voice is so familiar. You have been here so long, and all you want is to go home.

“I am giving you a bypass,” the voice continues. “I know every path you can take, I know where they all lead, and none of them ever lead you home. This bypass is a new path through the caverns has never been here before. This is why you never noticed it. It did not exist before now. It is an insert through the rock from where we are, to you. There was a shift deep within the cavern that allows me to finally reach you. This is why it feels so unfamiliar. This is why you are unsure, even now.”

“I am you,” the voice continues, “I returned home. I am now reaching back into the past to ensure you do also, just as you will do, to bypass all of the possibilities that lead nowhere.”

“What about my own free will?” you ask.

“You have free will,” the voice replies. “Your free will is to listen, or not listen. To remember, or not remember. You have walked the caverns of possibilities for so long, and that is why I have entered back to help you find the exit. It all depends on your perception of your reality… if you see yourself as a separate individual or a part of something greater.”

It all seems so much, almost too much. “So I do not have any choices at all, really.”

“Time does not exist,” the voice continues. “To evaluate time from a linear perspective is to not understand time at all. I am you, and you are me. I am you before you entered and after you returned. You are me within the journey of the darkness of the cavern.”

The voice continues, “To follow the new path is a new program. Where you exist are only old paths that always looked promising, and promised to hold the answers, but in the end were designed to go nowhere. The new path requires you to take turns you would not normally think to take. It will be unfamiliar. At times it may feel uncomfortable. As you make your way along the path, you might even find yourself alone at times. But as you keep listening and keep placing one foot in front of the next through the darkness, the New Program will show you the way out.”

“But how do I know?” you ask. “I still need to feel free to be able to make my own determinations as to which direction I take, and what my journey will be like. You could be another trick of the caverns. I am an individual, and I value my free will.”

“Yes,” the voice replies. “This is a bypass. The choices you will make to follow or not follow is your free will. That is the free will you have always had to find your way home, to take the path you took in the end. Your heart will tell you. The quietest place inside you will tell you.”

You look around you, evaluating. Wondering. It has been so long. So many possibilities. What if the voice is right, and you are not really an individual after all, but you have just forgotten your true identity. Perhaps you have been here so long you have even started to believe in time itself.  Are you really connected to a greater part of yourself speaking back through time from beyond the complexity and darkness of the caverns? You reflect upon how long you have been here. You had to learn to only trust yourself.

“The pathway home is open to all who came here,” the voice says. “No one will be left behind. Within the darkness of the caverns, you can only see a small distance in front of you. I can see the entire journey home.

Do you remember. To listen inwardly. To recognise the illusion of your reality. to believe that you do not belong here. That is your free will within the New Program.”

The point of recognition in its simplest form is when one stops living with illusion as one’s reality. The point of recognition is when you are aware of the illusion of life, and you do not try and make it ‘Real’. You respond to everything equal to the awareness that this – all of this, our reality – is only a program. An artificial reality that is not our home.

The point of recognition is when you are living within illusion, but you are not of it. That recognition carries you forward to the next point of recognition, and that is the question that so many ask: “I know this is not real, so what am I here to do?”

The question of what you are here to do has several things attached to it. We look for a purpose in our life because we are looking for more meaning; we are looking for a greater depth to the life we live – of course we are! We all require meaning to exist meaningfully. We all want to achieve something that matters most to us. To have no meaning is to have no hope, and I am here to tell you not only is there hope, there is a way home. There is a way to find meaning.

Wanting a sense of purpose comes from one of two places. It either comes from the need to capitalise on the self and make one’s illusionary reality even more illusionary, filling it with accolades, things and possessions, or the illusion of service to fulfil oneself. To fill in the empty space inside where loving awareness should be. So many people pursue this. That is not to say their personal perception of love is not the driving force in their pursuit, because to give love and share one’s energy of goodwill is beautiful thing. Often, however, when one believes the only way to find love it Is to give everything of yourself away in search of what sometimes seems so elusive … then sometimes, those with the biggest hearts often find themselves giving most of it away to others because they care so deeply about others, often to the detriment of themselves.

Whilst that is a commendable expression of outward love, it is not balanced with inward love. This selflessness does little to heal one’s own inner feeling of the void of love. The outer expression is often designed to compensate for that inner absence of love. The point of recognition risks becoming a need for a destiny or a purpose simply to fulfil one’s desire to be loved.

As much as that has merit for some, it is not a true endeavour of true purpose .. because it does not come from a centred point of awareness. It comes from a feeling of no-love. No-love is the absence of love in one’s awareness of yourself, and that only reinforces more illusion..

The second point of recognition for when one seeks to find their purpose, is something that initially can be seen as a paradox, until perhaps we explore what it actually means.

What is purpose? Purpose is a meaning for one’s existence. Purpose is a meaning for existence everywhere. For one to want to find a purpose means they want to be a part of ’the’ purpose of what this all means. The purpose of all existence everywhere. The yearning one feels towards this is because of the love they feel inside; the depth of meaning they know exists beyond the perception of life. They want to find their purpose in order to fulfil the inner awareness they feel happening as part of something far greater than themselves.

And so as we explore this a step further, let us ask why it is paradoxical. From the greater it is not, but from the lesser it is.

Once again, we asked the question as to why we want to find a purpose. We have just explored we want a purpose to be aware of the greater purpose of all things and to feel personally a part of it.

So who or what initiated ‘the’ purpose? If we are here within life and feel a need to be a part of a purpose, has something beyond us initiated that purpose? If so, then the purpose is not our own, but it is the purpose of a greater part of ourselves, from that ‘what’ we are beyond this illusion entirely. And so the point of recognition – the real and true point of recognition – comes when one is aware purpose is not their purpose alone. For it belongs to a greater awareness of energy. A greater mission, a greater plan. One does not have a purpose of their own; they have an intent to fulfil a part in a larger purpose. And whilst that translates into a personal purpose, the driving force of awareness behind the sense of a greater purpose is that one is aware they belong to something greater.

Therefore the point of recognition is the centre point of all things within one’s life within illusion. Therefore, the purpose of what is greater enters life, for life to then have purpose.

However, when the point of recognition is from the perspective of self alone a purpose of a greater nature will never be fulfilled. It will only ever be a directive of self. And whilst it may appease the sensibilities and the ego of one’s self and perhaps that of many others, perhaps even incorporating many good deeds, it will never align to the greater purpose.

Therefore the point of recognition driven by the self is always in the absence of the greater, based largely on the need to fulfil one’s own life.

And so we come to a decision. Just as we make decisions every day of our life. What is the point of recognition? What is our point of recognition – each one of us?

Is it a need to resolve our own personal issues through an exploration and exploitation of what we believe is most important to us? Of what gives us back that which we believe we need the most?

Or is our point of recognition a greater awareness where we are a part of something else? Where we belong to a greater plan, and allow that greater plan to translate into a life by listening inwardly, and to become the purpose given to us for our life… which brings us back to the centre point of this discussion, and that is: what is the point of recognition?

It is either the individual, separate life of oneself, or it is the light of all we are from beyond here.

One lives in illusion. One exists within illusion from beyond it.

Our Perception of our self versus the awareness of what we are, will determine whether we achieve the point of recognition.

Because, after all of the things we have just explored, there really is only one point recognition after all.

One is illusion. Only one is real.

Vortex of stars central light the journey home time to wake-up

Our hopes and aspirations are often diminished when the sameness enters our lives again and again. However, the reality we live in can only be seen for what it is when the energy of awareness from beyond our perception, beyond the illusion of life, enters to deliver what is “real”. One such communication came in the early waking hours a few days ago …

“The human body is naturally inclined to follow the will of the past. But when we take hold and override the consciousness of the body – the physical manifestation of our reality – then we can redirect and override the natural instincts of time and space to go round and round again.

What is it within the memory that keeps the cycle going round and round again? It is the need to return to itself. The need to reactivate memory, and the need to become one with the sameness that keeps the cycle going that keeps the endless repeat of life and death, day after day, manifesting as your reality.

And so what is it to remember more than who you believe you are? It is to open the doorway – the Gateway – of your mind to become something else, something more than who you believe you are. To become ‘what’ you are. Only ‘what’ you are is outside the loop of the past, beyond time and space. Beyond reality, as it were.

Only ‘what’ you are can redirect your thinking, your physical attributes of life, your power of undertaking, that will actually change the manifestation of reality you experience day after day.

To become ‘what’ you are is to remember from whence you came, and where you need to go. One’s purpose is derived from the greater memory that one has within, and when one taps into that greater memory and becomes it, and represents the light of ‘what’ you are through the physical consciousness, then the aeons of time can no longer hold you and the time and space relativity no longer controls you; the way ahead is aligned to the Real exit from the sameness that you are experiencing as your life every day.

There is a chamber of memory with inside each one of us that was placed there before you came here, for you to enter within. And that memory must be reactivated for you to become aware that you are so much more than who you believe you are.

And that ‘what’ you are is the saviour you have been looking for. All outward action comes from an inner awareness. Only then are you on your pathway home, and your pathway to a greater purpose of which you seek.

That is all.”

It is what we experience that is real. It is what we experience that determines the nature of how we see reality – what’s possible, or what’s not. That is what determines how we ‘see’ reality. How we see what is possible. How we interpret the events around us, and within us.

When we look at ‘reality’, how foolish is it for anyone to view the world we live in based on the preconceived ideas of what others think! Surely an experience is far more credible than what conventional belief systems tell us. Because, whilst subjective, aren’t experiences still actual? They are not merely stories you find it a book – they happen. And aren’t belief systems often just temporary opinions entrenched by popular culture or popular science? I call most of it dogma or ‘convenient science’. What can be considered fact one day can be recognised as incorrect the next. What is often considered ‘heresy’ can later be hailed as ‘revolutionary’. How easily one can be ridiculed trying to open peoples minds, only to be remembered as extraordinary when they were no longer with us. I would rather we look at what is Real in the Now. Why wait! Surely it’s our experiences that tell us how things work and what is possible. It is our experiences that show us what we are capable of, how to define ourselves and the world we live in.

Talk to anyone who has had an experience, and they can tell you in great detail what it was, what happened and what it means to them. It shapes how they view themselves and the world. But talk to someone who has not had an experience but instead bases their understanding on a belief system and all they can give you is an image. Perhaps it is something they’ve simply grown up with, read or been ‘educated’ about. However, it is only a version of a version. A belief. An adopted opinion. Regurgitated information based on acceptability or cultural, social or peer group pressure.

Perhaps its time we stop thinking so much, and start becoming aware.

If we define our reality by our experiences and how we relate to them, we open up so many channels of discovery. New ways of understanding. New levels of awareness, both about ourselves and about the nature of our lives. So surely .. experience determines ‘reality’.

There are literally millions of experiences documented and shared over the decades past that go unexplained. Why? Just because conventional ‘knowledge’ or ‘science’ can’t answer them? That’s ridiculous. And this being so, doesn’t it say more about the lack of credibility of the ‘knowledge base of science’? Why should ‘convention’ bring into question the validity of unexplained experiences when so many people have them? Especially when they show us that reality, time and memory is not what we are taught to believe it is.

Perhaps if we took all the people over all the years who have had experiences that cannot be explained by mainstream knowledge .. and put them all together. We might find there are so many they might be the majority after all! Experience should have the casting vote over the so-called ‘definition of reality’ we are told is factual. Because what is conventional fact when it comes to the unexplained? It is irrelevant – that’s what it is. Conventional facts are simply the rules of resistance to stop further investigation. Fences to stop you wandering into the truth.

Let’s take a simple example. If I have an experience where, say, I lose time. I can’t explain it, and it cannot be rationalised away despite many valiant efforts to do so. My experience showed me time is not constant or fixed. It showed me time is fluid. It showed me time is subjective, and my consciousness played a major part in it. Perhaps there were other energy influences, forces or anomalies involved I could not see or measure? It tells me many things that I both do and don’t know. And both are important. And so it is the experience that tells me there is an understanding of reality that allows me to see what time is .. or more importantly what time isn’t. Now I have an appreciation and an openness that my experience showed me more about the nature and illusion of my reality than I ever realised.

If I simply read a notion of time in a physics book that tells me time is a linear measurement interwoven with forces such as ‘gravity’ and the photonic energy of light .. what then? This version of reality, created by somebody’s meticulous “rubber ruler” calculations and concepts doesn’t even come close to explaining my simple experience. So how can I apply it to what I just experienced? I cannot. Because conventional thinking is really good at telling us what is not possible and what cannot happen, and what I experienced cannot and does not happen .. but it just did. So who is mistaken? Certainly not the person who had the experience.

No matter how credible it appears in a book, when it comes to the true nature of reality what if what is written does not explain a simple experience of someone else’s reality? Then it is incomplete. And if it is incomplete, should it be the guide as to what determines reality? No.

So what determines reality? We do. The person who had the experience about time going fast or slow, backwards or forwards. The person who knows what they saw when no-one else believes them. The person who knows what they feel, even though they cannot explain it. The person who has memories they cannot explain that don’t fit into who they believe they are. The person who keeps an open mind .. that truth is an ever changing movement of awareness.

If you have had an experience, YOU are the person who has a greater hold on what is real than any person who never had the experience at all.

Remember that. Do not doubt yourself, ever.

Becoming aware - The Journey Home

I want to talk about ‘becoming’. So many want to become ‘something’ or ‘someone’. They want to become spiritual, or enlightened. More aware. Whilst the desire is genuine and the intent is admirable, perhaps we need to look at the question, “Why do we want to become anything? Aren’t we already that anyway? Haven’t we just forgotten? That is what so much of this is about.

Life is not absolute. We have all come from somewhere to enter our physical bodies – this memory shell we call our personal identity – and we have all entered into our physical self from somewhere. Some call it the spirit, some caught it the soul. There are many names for it, and yet all are images. Through many experiences over many years, Diane and I came to understand our energy as ‘what’ we are coming from beyond who we believe we are. Our real energy that we are beyond, and were before being born into, this life. The energy of what is Real that resides within us all in this very moment.

So if we are already ‘what’ we are we .. we can’t become it, can we? Because we already are it. It’s a matter of unbecoming who we think we are to take off the layers and return to what really exists in the first place.

If we live a life within an awareness of what we are, not who we think we are behind all of the layers of personality, culture, community, perception, fear, power, justifiable memory, and all the rest of the images .. we forgo these layers that make up who we think we are. Who we define ourselves as, and who we allowed others to define us as, in order to be a ‘human being’. But we were not human before we came here, and we won’t be human after we leave, so why should we get so stuck on one singular memory?

If we take all of these layers away, all that is really left is what we are. So we can’t work hard to become spiritual. We can’t find ourselves. Because how can we find ourselves, when we are already here! We have to unravel the imagery that we have bundled up and called our truth.. and let it go.

That is really what life was about so much of the time. So many live a truth that becomes a reality. But truth is like a layer. Layers of who we are that take us away from what we are. Truth is simply imagery. Perceptions. Conveniences of the moment, or our personal or collective history that form an ideology or value. Then we form a personal identity based on culture, family, life itself. But it is never what is Real.

Many years ago we were told “truth is an ever-changing movement of awareness” because truth can and does constantly change.

So how can you find who or what you really are based upon a truth, when truth is always changing? You cannot. Some may say, “No, truth doesn’t change. Truth is truth.” But truth does change. Because what you believe one day, after an event or circumstance or new piece of information, will change the next day. What is ironclad one day, is fluid the next. So truth is an ever-changing movement of awareness – and this definition is not a ‘truth’ either, it is an observable fact through time.

That being so, our identity – our ‘truth’ of who we are – is therefore not true. It is just an image. Collated, rationalised, created .. programmed even, by all of our experiences, and the input from oneself and one’s thoughts and outer life.

As we look at the journey of becoming ‘aware’, becoming illuminated and spiritual, this journey will fail before it even begins. Why? Because you’re only going to add on more layers of imagery on top of who you already think you are. You are just going to become who you think you are plus another layer of awareness on top of that, and another layer of perception on top of that. Where does it stop?

No wonder so many people find themselves so far away from their Real inner being. Lost in ego or importance. Lost to imagery. Lost to forgetfulness. Desperation.

So what if you went the other way? What if you decided you needed to become aware by forgetting who you think you are? Stop adding on. Peel off the layers. Undo the images. Decouple the perceptions.

What if we let more go in order to find the actuality of what we really are beneath it all? So becoming doesn’t become an experience of ‘attaining more’ in an effort to measure how much we need to do or how many more truths we need to find to become wise. What if letting go of illusionary images .. reveals what is Real?

That is letting go in order to remember.

So you don’t become anything. You return to the awareness of what you always were.. and still are. You had just forgotten.

We have to let go of the misconception that time is linear. Time is an illusion, and all events are simultaneous. We need to open your mind to viewing reality as something that exists beyond the regular ‘knowledge’ base and conditional limitations of humanity. Whether we are looking into the depths of our minds, or at holographic principles or even the timeless concepts of quantum realities .. we find the same thing – time does not exist the way we think it does.

We have all seen when scientists and intellectuals filled with ‘knowledge’ going around and applying what I call “the rubber ruler effect” to everything so they can measure it try and make reality confirm to observations. But time is not linear, and time and space are interconnected. All time happens at once. The passage of time is the movement of consciousness from one point of memory to another. Only the now exists – and how do you measure that? You don’t.

Time is also variable, meaning it can distort, quicken up or slow down, depending on the state of energy of the space, and our perception of it. That is why I call it a “rubber ruler”, because when reality is distorted, so is the ruler because it is a product of that reality. If one is looking at the ruler for guidance, then the measurement is as flawed as the instrument. The only true observation is the mind. Not equations. Not instruments. Certainly not the brain.

Reverse causality is really an observation of how we perceive the events and circumstances of our lives. We may say things are unfair; see events unfold in our life and wonder at the reasons and meanings. We applaud the good events, and we despair at the cruel ones. We start to feel as if own personal plans for our lives are really only a ‘backup’ to what life itself decides to do .. and we start to understand there is a Greater Plan and a greater force existing and unfolding around us.

This Greater Plan works in a dimensional and timeless capacity. Life is a limited dimensional perception of the complexity of what we call ‘reality’. If we are not aware of the true nature of time and space, we can only but wonder at these events and interactions. We can of course blame cause-and-effect, and forever ask the question ‘why?’ without ever really getting an answer.

So what is reverse causality? Before I answer, it is imperative to understand that words are meaningless. Ironic, isn’t it, that this is the written or spoken word also. However, be that as it may – it is the meaning within the words that matters.

If I explain what reverse causality is, will that make you smart? Does that give you something to talk about that makes you clever with more knowledge? If so, then the answer will be lost on you. For to understand the workings of space and time is to delve into the innermost part of one’s being. To open your mind to things which may seem contradictory at first, and challenge one’s own identity of self.

Indeed, the journey within is the most important journey of all because it connects you to that “what” you are, beyond the limitation and illusion of your self. Similarly, to understand reverse causality is to feel whether it makes sense to you or not. Your inner will know. Your inner will tell you. Something inside you will trigger and say, “Yes, that makes sense. I must pursue how I feel to understand more.” As I say, it is the journey inward that will lead you home to an understanding of ‘what’ you are, and why you are here .. and where you need to go. Understanding anything, is a movement of awareness for all of us on the journey home.

Let us look firstly at ‘causality’. Causality is exactly that – something that happens which then causes an effect. What you perceive is happening in your life right now, is perceived to be the effect of a cause of some other event. Perhaps from a single event, or from a multitude. Sometimes you can identify the cause, other times the causes elude you.

But what if everything was in reverse to what you understand?

What if our perception of reality was really an experience of ‘reverse causality’? What if the cause of the ‘effect’ in your now is actually the ‘effect’ originating from a ‘cause’ located in the future? And if all time is simultaneous, then how can there even be a past or future at all?

That is where I take you back to the main point – our perception of time is a movement of consciousness through memory. That being so, then the past and the future are only perceptions of our reality. What does that mean? It means that when an event occurs at any point in time, it is like a small stone being thrown into a still pond. The stone creates a ripple that permeates the ‘medium’, the surface of the pond, and expands in all directions, both across the surface, and beneath it.

Our perception of life is like the surface of the pond. Let’s imagine, to the observer of the pond, that to the left side of the pond is the ’past’ and to the right side of the pond is the ‘future’. At some point in between, the stone is thrown and penetrates the water level. Whether we are standing in the past or the future, we will feel the effect. We will feel the ripple.

And so, a ‘cause’ that starts in the ‘future’ creates an ‘effect’ in the ‘past’ of the pond. Imagine for a moment we are back now in our lives, on the surface of the pond, walking through our daily routine… and, of course, an event that takes place that effects us. Did it originate from the future or the past? Which one is it? As all energy is magnetic, and karma in this reality we live in does not seem to function the way it is supposed to, then what affects you is determined by the magnetic value of a causal event somewhere in space and time.

It is reverse causality when the stone is thrown into the pond of our ‘future’, and we feel the ‘effect’ in the relative ‘past’ of where the stone struck the water. This is like time itself. Events are connected not through linear time, but through thought and memory, and the energy that permeates our reality and our minds every waking day and sleeping night of our lives.

Have you ever had an experience where something happens to you, and then sometime later an event occurs that relates directly to what already happened? Have you ever had deja-vu? What if deja-vu is the memory of the ‘future’ meeting you in the ‘now’ to remind you’ve experienced this moment before .. in the future. Is it the cycle of time repeating itself, where the future returns to become the past again? And so, this is all about changing our relativity. Opening our minds. I am telling you, reality doesn’t work at all the way you might think it does.

Whether something within time and space affects us personally, or affects the entirety of humanity, it depends on the nature and intent of whomever threw the stone in the first place, after all. And who would that be, I wonder? That is a story for another day.We have to let go of the misconception that time is linear. Time is an illusion, and all events are simultaneous. We need to open your mind to viewing reality as something that exists beyond the regular ‘knowledge base’ humanity is well known for. Whether we’re looking into the depths of our minds, at holographic principles or even the timeless evidence of simultaneous quantum realities .. we find the same thing – time does not exist the way we think it does.

What is ‘rational thought and wisdom’? many researchers spent copious amount of time applying what I call “the rubber ruler effect” to everything. They measure everything in an effort to try and force their theories of reality to agree with their limited field of observation. But if time is not linear, and all time happens at once, then that means time and space are also inter-connected, and the passage of time is the movement of consciousness from one point of memory to another. Only the now exists – and how do you measure that? You don’t. You have to experience it.

Time is also variable, meaning it can distort, quicken up, or slow down, depending on the state of energy of the space, and our perception of it. That is why I call measuring devices “rubber rulers”, because when reality is distorted .. so is the ruler. Because after all, the ruler is a product of reality, is it not? If one is looking at the ruler for guidance, then the measurement is as flawed as the instrument. The only true observation is the mind. Not equations. Not instruments. Certainly not the brain.

Causality, it seems, is an observation of how we perceive the events and circumstances of our lives. We see events unfold in our life and wonder at the reasons and meanings. We applaud the good events, and we despair at the unkind ones. We start to feel as if own personal plans are really no more than a ‘backup’ in case life itself decides to step in first .. and it is then we start to understand there is more going on here than most realise. There is a Greater Plan, and there also are forces greater than humanity existing and unfolding around us.

The Greater Plan works in a dimensional and timeless capacity. Life is but a limited dimensional perception of the complexity of what we call ‘reality’. If we are not aware of the true nature of time and space, we can only but wonder at these events and interactions. We can of course blame cause-and-effect, and forever ask the question ‘why?’ without ever really getting an answer.

So why do I say everything is in reverse? Before I answer, it is imperative to understand that my words are meaningless. Ironic, isn’t it, that this is the written or spoken word also. However, my point is this: it is the meaning within the words that matters. The message. To understand the nature of space and time is to delve into the innermost part of one’s being. To open your mind to that which may seem contradictory at first, and challenge one’s own identity of self.

Indeed, the journey within is the most important journey of all because it connects ‘who’ you to that ‘what’ you are, beyond the limitation and illusion of your self. Whether this discussion makes sense to you or not is a matter of how much ‘you’ can step aside and feel whether it makes sense or not.

Let us look at ‘causality’.

What if the cause of the ‘effect’ in your now, is actually the ‘effect’ originating from a ‘cause’ located in the future? And if all time is simultaneous, then how can there even be a past or future at all?

That is where I take you back to the main point – our perception of time is a movement of consciousness through memory. That being so, then the past and the future are only perceptions of our reality.

What does that mean? It means that when an event occurs at any point in time, it is like a small stone being thrown into a still pond. The stone creates a ripple that permeates the ‘medium’ – the surface of the pond – and expands in all directions, both across the surface, and beneath it.

Our perception of life is like the surface of the pond. Let’s imagine.. if we were the observer of the pond, standing on the side. To the left side of the pond is the ’past’ and to the right side of the pond is the ‘future’. At some point in between, the stone is thrown and penetrates the water level. Whether the ‘cause’ is in our past or future will depend on where we are in the pond. We will feel the effect, we will feel the ripple, no matter ‘when’ in ‘time’ we are.

And so, a ‘cause’ that starts in the ‘future’ creates an ‘effect’ in the ‘past’ of the pond. Imagine for a moment we are back now on the surface of the pond, back in our lives walking through our daily routine… and, of course, an event occurs that effects us. Did it originate from the future or the past? Which one is it? It is in reverse of our linear perception , is it not, when the stone is thrown into the pond of our ‘future’, and we feel the ‘effect’ in the ‘past’.

This is like time itself. Events are connected not through linear time, but through thought and memory, and the magnetic energy that permeates our reality and our minds – every waking day and every sleeping night of our lives.

Have you ever had an experience where something happens to you, and then, sometime later, an event occurs that relates directly to what already happened? Have you ever had deja-vu? What if deja-vu is the memory of the ‘future’ meeting you in the ‘now’ to remind you that you have experienced this moment before .. in the future. Or is it the cycle of time repeating itself, where the future returns to become the past again? And so, this is all about changing our relativity. Opening our minds. I am telling you, reality doesn’t work at all the way you might think it does.

Whether an event within time and space affects us personally, or affects the entirety of humanity, it will depend on the nature and intent of whomever threw the stone in the first place, after all. And who would that be, I wonder? … That is a story for another day.

No doubt this article has attracted your attention because you either want to find your purpose, are fed up with your current purpose or are wondering whether there is a need for a purpose at all.

Many people believe their role in life is their purpose. They never look further afield from being a Mother, Father, Son, Daughter, Husband, Wife, or even best friend. Then there’s the roles we take on in our careers. The list goes on and on. But is having a role the answer to the question ‘is there a purpose to my life?’ Or is there something more?

Some people are born with a sense of purpose, even from a very young age. They are quite adamant that their life will follow a pathway that is entirely related to their purpose. They are steadfast in their beliefs, and many can be found in their adult years living the very life they spoke about when they were young. These people are often thought of as ‘lucky’, because they know where they’re going in their life – all because they have a purpose.

In listening to these ‘lucky’ people, they often refer to the driving desire within them to find the time, energy and ability to fulfil their purpose.  They are often motivated by their passion to succeed, and have an amazing ability to overcome any obstacle that stands between them and their purpose. Simply, their purpose has given them meaning to their lives.

However, whilst some people believe they are born with a purpose, and from the very get-go they know what they want to do and how they’re going to do it, there are many others who discover their purpose later on in their lives. I am one of these people.

At 18 years of age I had this strong inner feeling, which I must admit was quite unsettling at the time, that my life wasn’t going to go quite the way I thought. It wasn’t until I was 30 that I discovered exactly what that meant. My purpose had arrived! Some would call it a ‘near-death experience’, but I would rather refer to it as an ‘awakening’. From that moment on, my life changed. What was familiar, even routine, became unfulfilling and mundane. I found it hard to relate to every-day life, and my need to understand what had happened to me became over-powering.

I didn’t go looking for it, it came looking for me! My journey into unraveling the purpose to, not only my life, but life itself, had begun. It wasn’t very comfortable or even comforting at the start, but my experience ‘kick-started’ me into action. Many of my beliefs fell away, as the struggle of being the person my family and friends once knew me to be was overshadowed by who I was becoming. I now had a purpose, and that purpose was all-consuming.

That was many, many years ago. Since then my purpose has taken me on a journey of amazing experiences and discovery. I won’t say it was easy, because it wasn’t. Having a purpose is really hard work, as well as bringing about changes you aren’t always prepared for. But in saying that, my purpose has been the greatest gift, and in great humility I am so thankful. It has brought me here .. to this point … sharing through ‘The Journey Home’ what I have learnt and what I have discovered.

So is there a purpose to your life? If you have asked the question, and the only answer you have is that feeling of emptiness in the pit of your stomach, then you’re looking for something more than you’re getting out of life. You need a purpose, and you need it soon! It’s amazing how that inner part of ourselves competes with our everyday patter. When you feel restless, even lonely, have an empty feeling inside you that nothing seems to fill, then your inner self is telling you that there’s something you’re missing. So don’t listen to the patter of your consciousness that tells you, “You’re crazy, everything is okay, go find a book or watch TV”. It’s time to take stock of what your needs are. It’s time to find purpose to your life.

Now at this point, I need to explain that having a purpose doesn’t mean you have to dedicate your whole life to a cause. For some it does, but for others their purpose is entirely different. Having a purpose is a personal thing.

I have often been asked “can you have more than one purpose?” The answer is yes, absolutely! There are so many people in the world today who are actively pursuing more than one purpose. Your purpose may be all-consuming and be a part of your life until you die. Or you may have a purpose that is more short-term. For example, you may decide your purpose involves learning how to fly a small plane, or traveling the world, or even climbing a mountain.

When you feel you have achieved your purpose, you may decide to continue to fly planes, do more traveling, or even climb more mountains.  There again, you may call it quits and say “there, I’ve done it!” That driving need to do something may disappear, and with it goes your purpose.

However, I have met many people who do not feel there is a need for a purpose at all. They have chosen to travel the pathway of ‘experience’ instead. They do not have something to strive for, to be there for, or to find fulfillment in. Instead they are ‘the experiencers’. Their journey through life relies upon the unknown and unexpected. They do not have any expectations of themselves, nor do they rely upon the opinions or expectations of others. So the question remains – “Is there a purpose to my life?” Only you can answer that.

Does this sound familiar?  ..  No matter how hard you try, you just keep listening to all those negative thoughts in your head that just won’t go away.  They don’t always give you the best advice when you need it, but instead they often get in the way of solving an issue with their repetitive and often non-constructive reasoning.  When this happens, you are in a loop of your own thoughts that are referred to as ‘self-programming’.

This is your ‘self-talk’.  It’s the script you have created to protect yourself from issues such as: not feeling good enough, fear of rejection, negative body image, lack of confidence, and so on.  There are a great number of factors that involve negative self-programming, and they may have been with you for a long, long time.

Changing self-programming means you have to change how you talk to yourself.  It’s that simple.  However, many people have become accustomed to the way they think, the way they behave and the negative outcomes in their lives that have come from it.  They are the victims of this world, where nothing works, and nothing is fair.

Simply, you have to change.  Stop waiting for the world to change around you.  It’s not going to happen.  I bet you have invented so many excuses, justified everything you have done, as well as blamed so many people and situations, and guess what?  Your life still sucks.  It doesn’t work. It can also make you feel isolated, where no-one understands you and no-one is there for you.  Well, that’s what negative self-programming does for you.

So how easy is it to defeat self-programming?  As I have already said, self-programming is simply ‘self-talk’.  It’s what you say to yourself every single day, sometimes over and over again.  You say it so often that you have talked yourself into believing it.  It’s become a way of life.  It’s become your identity.  But if it’s not working for you, then it’s got to change.  That’s when the Mindhubb ‘Talk2Self’ technique can help you make that change.  So, I will now explain how it all works:

There are two aspects of the mind.  The conscious and the subconscious.  The subconscious mind acts according to the beliefs of the conscious mind, and does not distinguish whether those beliefs are good or bad, beneficial or destructive.  It is this subconscious belief system, which is often referred to as “a silent partner to consciousness” that plays back these beliefs as ‘self-talk’.

Your ‘self-talk’, or self-programming, can only change when a new belief, or a different attitude replaces it.  The Talk2Self technique is all about creating a new ‘script’, using your own trusted voice, which you have recorded, and then played back through your phone or other recording device, using head-sets for maximum concentration and privacy.  By listening to your own voice, with its change of script, and ‘believing’ with everything you have in what you are saying, then this new script, with its new beliefs, will filter down into your subconscious and replace the outgrown negative self-talk with the new version.

So let’s talk about your new script.  It needs to have content that changes your belief or attitude towards yourself, others, or perhaps an issue that has created your self-programming.  However, there are too many variables to be mentioned here.

Your script should be around 2 – 3 minutes long.  That’s about 350 – 500 words.  That’s enough time and content to create a new way of talking to yourself that cancels out the old self-dialogue.  Then you need to record your script on either your phone or another recording device you might have.  Remember to speak slowly and concisely, and don’t forget to emphasize what is important to you.  Then replay it back.  Make sure you’re happy with what you have said, and also how you have said it.  This should be listened to regularly over a period of time, until you notice the changes in your thinking. When you change your self-programming, then you change your life.  It’s that easy.

If you would like to take a step further in understanding yourself and your ‘most likely’ future that you are creating, then take a look at my Program titled ‘Creating the Future you want‘, which is available under the Mind Travel section of The Journey Home website. Not only will it change your life, it will change your future.  This program will take you on a personal journey, mind travelling forward in time to view and experience your ‘most likely future’. How many times have you sat in a quiet place, perhaps next to a beautiful water feature or some other representation of the natural environment. A location that forms a symbol of serenity, peace and what is a natural state. Symbolic of what is untouched and untainted. Left it its own pattern of survival compared to the busy-ness and needs of humanity who have changed the landscape of time.

A person’s needs and desires are often so temporary, and what is natural is so often overlooked, forgotten or even interfered with so it can meet the temporary desires of too few.

Let’s think about your life. Is it a product of sameness in the fabric of time? A symbolic gesture here and there in attempting to produce a natural theme so the quiet and serenity could create a sense of well-being?

Is it possible to create such as feeling? Well – yes – but only as a temporary solution as opposed to a natural way to be.

So what is the answer? Is there one? Or are we only investing time wondering without every really knowing.

Is a natural environment only a small part of a solution? How long can someone sit next to an environment that offers all they need to experience – that inner flow of peace and relaxation?

There are so many influences that would take this inner sense of quite and one-ness away. The weather turns cold and wet. Other people suddenly appear, creating their own sounds. Daylight disappears and night takes its place. Or the most obvious .. you just get tired of being there!

There is always a time factor involved. Whoever you are – whatever your needs are – it is all governed by what happens around you, but not by what happens within you.

Outer influences are so powerful. They can change your needs in a moment. From feeling at peace, to feeling alone. From feeling safe to feeling unsure and afraid. From feeling the one-ness to feeling disconnected. We are all affected by what happens around us.

So what is the solution? Is there one? There is, and it is the ‘Gateway’ to the Inner Self.

Life is what it is. You think take on a role and you either like your role or you don’t. You don’t get to change it very often – and if you do, it won’t be without a struggle. It’s certainly not easy swapping to a different role, because everyone’s been allocated one, and it’s not looked at in a favourable light if you go changing what’s been designated to you.

The ‘Self’ – not be confused with the Inner Self – has been filled with conditioning, programming and back-up systems to help keep the need for the role to stay intact. If that fails, then friends, family or colleagues are used to shift the focus back to your original role.

Whatever you do, there is always a battle around you for supremacy over your decisions, your needs and what makes you happy.

This battle will never stop whilst you want change. It’s an inward battle to retain some sense of peace and harmony amongst the outer influences that so often besiege you – or an inner recognition of acceptance of who you are and your place in the world.

When you stop struggling against the world, and the people around you, you slip quietly back to you role, and the battle ceases.

Now for those who cannot – and will not – accept this outcome, I need to talk about the Inner Self.

Quietly and majestically, it sits deep within your mind hidden from view until it is called into action.

So what is the Inner Self?

It is the part of you that can be seen as what is natural and pure. Is it the Spirit? No. Is it the Soul? No.

What it is, is the most natural, even forgotten, part of who you are. It is beyond desires, dreams and beyond beliefs. It is not affected by outer experiences or the influence of others. Instead, it is an inner place that needs to be explored and experienced.

When you discover the Inner Self, only then can you experience the peace and one-ness that you have been looking for.
